A comprehensive dental exam will be performed by Dr. Elchekha at your initial consultation. A comprehensive dental exam requires one complete appointment and includes the following:

• Oral Cancer Screenings

• X-Rays

• Complete Oral Exam

Ultimate Dental Care recommends getting a routine dental cleaning every six months, which prevents excessive plaque buildup. If left untreated, plaque can lead to unhealthy gums and tooth decay. A cleaning is performed by Dr. Elchekha or a dental hygienist. Dental cleanings generally take about 45 minutes, longer if it’s been a while since your last cleaning. 

Fluoride is a safe and effective agent that can be used to prevent tooth decay for both children and adults. Fluoride treatments applied by Ultimate Dental Care are especially good for people with a higher risk for tooth decay or erosion. If you have dry mouth, weak enamel, poor oral health, or if you have crowns, Dr. Elchekha will determine if applying a fluoride varnish would help protect your teeth.
