A cleaning is performed by Dr. Elchekha or a dental hygienist. Dental cleanings generally take about 45 minutes, longer if it’s been a while since your last cleaning. 

A dental filling is a restoration used to repair minor to moderate tooth damage. Ultimate Dental Care may recommend a filling if a tooth has a cavity or if a tooth suffers from minor fracturing or chipping. 

A sealant is a thin, protective coating that adheres to the chewing surface of your back teeth. They can keep cavities from forming and may even stop early stages of decay from becoming a full-blown cavity. Sealants have been shown to reduce the risk of decay by nearly 80% in molars.

Fluoride is a safe and effective agent that can be used to prevent tooth decay for both children and adults. Fluoride treatments applied by Ultimate Dental Care are especially good for people with a higher risk for tooth decay or erosion. If you have dry mouth, weak enamel, poor oral health, or if you have crowns, Dr. Elchekha will determine if applying a fluoride varnish would help protect your teeth.
